Acquiring software without justly compensating the developer(s) is piracy. It's not stealing in the classical sense but it's both a moral crime and a civil crime:

Depriving workers of wages.

Violating another's privacy for profit or selling out another's privacy is a worse moral crime that ought to be a civil crime. This is the profit model of adware, facebook, google, and other offenders falsely claiming 'free' service offerings or 'free' apps. All adware is malware. As you each decrease your respective awareness- or pursuit of privacy you INJURE ALL OUR expectations of privacy creating an ever more disturbing NSA and public policy.
