I have already considered to make a new KKND of my own some times ago. The first obstacle was to determine whether it is made on 2D or 3D based design. I have no experience in modelling 3D objects. Furthermore, I have no 3D modelling tool! Now, there seems to be a compromize for me. It is important to make some basic algorithm for game playing on 2D based game engine first. Therefore, I will make many Classes for basic game playing. Then progress to 3D game engine. Finally, combine them to make a new KKND. I think it will take a long time. However, running and enjoying the primitive but growing features of game is not so awaiting. What do U think about it?
