i think kknd master isa right in the when he says that the limit isn't 200 at all...but start craft also a good game, the story & the units are just not as funny than in kknd, but if i would get a working cd key for starcraft i'd still play it with my friends on battle net... -------------------- i don't what weapons they will use for wolrd war III, but world war IV will be fought with sticks and stones. some of my friend also play Dungeon Siege (instead of CS) i dont like that genre, But i had already new discussions with my parents concerning playing games. i think seriously they want me to stop playing. There are so many articles in the newspapers or in TV that tell the the people, that games are cruel and brutal, and that every counter-strike playing boy could run amok like the crazy guy in Erfurt. they write that the only sense of CS is to kill girls, and that all the LANs are training facilities for killermachines. Its easier to censore games that to find a solution for the real problems in the society. why can a 18 year old boy buy a shotgun by legal means? i mean Germany is not America, if u know what i mean. i think its normal that a typical father in Amerca owns firearms. They have to defeat the democracy, well......... mmmmh, i really dont know what i should do. They say that they wont support my childish games any longer. I think that i ll abandon "highschool" and search a simple job......... i want my freendom. [ May 07, 2002: Message edited by: Der Bezwinger ] --------------------

Oh boy.....Yes CounterStrike is soo violent. It makes kids want to run around school all day long with a Steyer Aug loaded with black talons. It makes them deck out in full body armor complete with a kevlar hemlet and goggles just to go to a soccer game. Hmm.... it also makes them ask the teacher which they'd rather have strapped to their thigh, a Berretta or a Glock. I don't know about you, but when I get out of the house, I grab my trusty flame-thrower and take after those insurance salesmen. Take a walk down to the train tracks and pick off the hobos with my PSG. Everytime something bad happens like a school shooting or kids killing each other, society looks for somebody to blame. When its the people that commit the crime that are to blame, DUH?!?!??!?!!
If its not the kids fault,(which it is), then its the parents fault for not paying more attention to their kids. thats why in America the ESRB puts the little "M" for Mature content on games like CS and Soldier of Fortune. It's the parents' responsibility to make sure their kids aren't buying the hardcore sex and bloody rip your heart out and throw it at the dog games. The only thing I've gained from playing games like CS, Tactical Ops, and Quake or Unreal, is how to tell the difference from a MP5, a FAMAS, a M4 carbine, a M16, a rocket launcher, etc. They don't make me wanna go out and start shooting people for real. And if they do make someone wanna do that, its the psycho cocain crazy persons fault, for being so mentally unstable. So thats why your parents are so worried about you. They're just trying to be responsible. They'll do that till you get out of the house, unfortunately.... and with this lastest school shooting, they'll be even more unfair untill the media dies down and forgets about it, and starts focusing more on American Presidential sex scandals.... and mad cows...... don't worry it will blow over like it always does.... except it'll probly make the game censorship in Germany even more strict, to where they will ban something like the SIMS or Barbie's Clothing Designer games... --------------------

there was report in a normaly serious channel about CS, they interviewed the german publisher of the retail version, they asked him for the sense of that horrible, bloody massacre-game, and he didnt gave a answer, he just said aaah, mmhh, aaa?? let's do the question again. i found the same interview 30 min later in the internet. he gave an answer to the question, and his arguments were really good. and then the journalists asked him what he would do if they ll censore cs, he had no answer to that. THIS STUPID JOURNALISTS OF THE ZDF (state-television) mixed up the entire interview. they cut the arguments. and why all that? they want to divert the blame to the games, cause they also show violence in the news or in movies. The e-sport has no lobby like the traditional german (especially bavarian) association of shots. And we have an election campain at the moment. all the politicians want to forbid all computer-games, but im sure they never played one.--------------------

Federal-level politicians are always the worst. What with all the lies to get voted in, and the heavy bribes from tobacco and beer companies. With the way Lieberman tried to get SoF banned here in the US, and his petty bitching about Postal several years before ....oh I'm a 60 year old man, wah wah...... I can't handle a little gore.. boohoo, mommy. hold my hand, I can't stomach all the blood and profanity. I don't want little Timmy to bust in his third grade class armed with an AK47 he can barely hold up, much less aim, and let loose on his classmates a right cheery rain of gun fire... what a shame...all because he watched his big brother play DOOM....While it is important to keep watch over your own country and make sure your citizens aren't killing each other at such a young age.... Its not the governments resposibility to watch out for violent games and movies..... its the parents of the children....... you don't see little 6 year olds walking around with porn mags do you? nope because hopefully the parents keep it away from them...... well the parents should do the same for movies and games and anything else thats not PG rated. I remember when Aliens 3 came out. my parents went to go watch it and I had to go see something else stupid, with my sisters. I was too young to go see it, but when my movie was over I had to wait outside my parent's and this little girl way younger than me was going in and out of it every 10 minutes. how the hell do you take your 4-5 year old to such a gory movie and expect them not to grow up messed up in the head?People are stupid....... they are too lazy to do it themselves most if the time, so they want the government to do it. Its the government that should be watching out for wars, drugs, and and other stupid crap like exploding/flying Arabs..... ......which brings another good point...... games are an excellent tool for training for anti-terrorism, and what better way to let your frustrations out because of the all the arab-induced shit that has happend the last 9 months....... if anything, here in the USA,when you get your income tax return, the IRS should include a copy of Rouge Spear, or Ghost Recon.... on another note..... if the terrorists want to come and play guns with us, why doesn't America pit it's Extremists against Islamic extremists thats right, all the Militia groups and gun nuts-NRA against the terrorists. what a sight that would be....... --------------------

i saw films like Scarface or all the Steven King-films in the age of 10. my parents didnt know that, i went to a friend and we watched it, do u know man bites dog? its the worst film i ve ever seen, but i never got aggressive, or anything else. Sure, i can imagine that there are crazy people with cracy ideas, but are are films or games the reason? No, there were always aggressions, and even amoks. but some people dont realice, that films/games arent real life. they live in their dreamworld, but why? we never had amoks in Germany, it started with Littelton. i think we had during the last 2 years about 4 amoks. the people are afraid. --------------------

and for gory/violent movies, I've really havent seen one that was gory enough..... but violence,, theres Heat, Natural Born Killers, and my favorite A Clockwork Orange......i can't think of any others right now......Gladiator was pretty cool, except it ould've been a couple hours longer, and they definately were stingey with the battle sequences, they coulve been alot longer too, but I guess I'm just spoiled with AoE1,2 and Shogun: Total War. oh Band of Brothers on HBO was freakin AWESOME!!!!! way hella better than Saving Private Ryan...--------------------
