how to activate that weird turret? how i can detonate my machines with that think?

i have grizzly bear with radar and self destruct for example. What next? how to make a BOOM ?

That self-exploding thing will activate as soon as your home-made grizzly is killed.

really? is it powerfull explosion? Better or worse than kamikaze-like troops?
